In the downtown slums of Skid Row – amongst the homeless, the urchins and the thugs – there shines a glimmer of humanity and positivity. Seymour Krelborn, an apprentice florist, works day in and day out selling daisies and roses to nobody – for who needs flowers in Skid Row?
He knows that one day he will need to get out of Skid Row, and he hopes to take Audrey, the girl of his dreams, with him. However, two problems stand in his way; Audrey hardly notices Seymour, and she has a violent drug crazed dentist boyfriend: Orin Scrivello D.D.S.
How can Seymour rise up and show the world what he's made of, and show Audrey how much he cares for her? What Seymour needs is some sort of boost, a way out, an edge, a bit of luck... instead, he ends up with a plant. An unclassifiable Venus Flytrap with an insatiable appetite for blood. He wants to get the girl and live happily ever after, but will he feed the plant?
